Summer 2008 Greece program at the American College of Thessaloniki (ACT)
The College of Staten Island/CUNY is pleased to share an updated
overview of the Greece program in Thessaloniki, which has
been running continuously since 1991.

Summer 2008
Arrival: June 17-19, 2008
Orientation: June 20-21
First day classes: June 23
Last day classes: July 18
Finals day: July 21
Departure: July 22-24
Application Deadline:
Summer: April 15
Academics:
All courses taught in English, including Greek civilization and culture
courses. Wide selection of liberal arts and business courses. Greek
language courses available at beginning and intermediate levels. ACT
provides a schedule of classes approximately one month before the
program begins.
Accommodations:
Students live in shared off-campus apartments in Thessaloniki’s center.
Requirements:
2.5 GPA and second-semester freshman class standing and up. Completed
CCIS application. All non-EU citizens required to obtain a resident permit
for the semester program in Greece. Information about the resident permit
provided to students upon acceptance into the program.

6 credits $4,000

Program Cost does NOT include:
Housing - single room $600, ($200 refund if double)
Airfare: $1,100-1,500
Books: $90-140
Meals: $350-750 per month
Personal Expenses: $250-700 per month
NOTE: Amounts are average and minimal. Student must budget
additional money if they plan to do independent travel in Greece.
