CUNY Rogowsky Internship Program Updates

Summer 2008 CUNY Washington Internship Program

We are currently accepting applications for the Summer 2008 CUNY Washington Internship Program.  The application deadline is April 4.

We have contracted for dormitory housing in Washington, DC for a total of 9 weeks in order to provide interns with additional time to settle in at the start and decompress at the conclusion of the summer program.  The internship service dates for the 2008 program are June 2 to July 30.  Several placements have already been secured on Capitol Hill, where it should be an exciting summer in this Presidential election year.  We are beginning to schedule weekly colloquia for your students, so they have an opportunity to share with various members of the Washington community.  We have also increased the stipend to $2,000 per student, which should help defray the costs of participation.

Fall 2008 CUNY Women’s Public Leadership Intern Program

We are pleased to announce the continuation and expansion of this highly successful internship opportunity for our students.  The Women’s Leadership Program will continue to serve students seeking to enhance their understanding of public policy at various levels of government-city, state and national.  Last year’s class was our largest yet, and we are interested in expanding this unique offering to even more CUNY students in Fall 2008.

The application deadline is July 11.  Once again, we have increased the stipend to $2,000 per student for this local, part-time internship.
