There is no fee to apply to CUNY Baccalaureate.

NOTE:  If you are a first-semester freshman you can apply as long as you will have earned 12 credits by the end of the semester.

Filing Dates

CUNY Baccalaureate accepts applications throughout the year.  Students are encouraged to apply as far in advance of the semester for which they are interested in joining the program as possible.

All potential CUNY Baccalaureate students must plan to be matriculated in CUNY for the semester for which they are applying to the program (Note: Students who have or are approaching 68 total credits should matriculate in a senior CUNY college).  Apply now: http://www.cuny.edu/admissions/undergraduate.html

Students who are applying to a CUNY college for the first time (or who are re-applying to CUNY) may submit their application to the program while awaiting official CUNY college acceptance, as well as proof of passing or exemption from the CUNY Assessment Tests.

First time applicants to CUNY are urged to submit their applications as soon as possible, and should be attentive to the deadlines announced at www.cuny.edu/admissions.

CUNY College Matriculation

Students not enrolled in a CUNY college must apply for matriculation by filling out a CUNY Transfer Admission Application to a senior or community college. This should, in fact, be the first thing you do.  Students may apply to — or transfer within — CUNY while simultaneously applying to CUNY Baccalaureate, and they may submit their application to CUNY Baccalaureate before they receive an admission letter from a CUNY college.

CUNY Baccalaureate students can be matriculated at a CUNY community college until they reach 68 total credits.  Upon reaching 68 credits, students must transfer to a senior college.

To transfer to or within CUNY, contact the Transfer Admission Office by calling 212.997.CUNY (2869) or by visiting www.cuny.edu/prepare.
