Call for Student Paper and Poster Proposals

Alpha Iota Sigma, the International Interdisciplinary Studies Honor Society, is seeking student proposals for the 36th Annual Association for Interdisciplinary Studies Conference being held October 15-19, 2014; hosted by Michigan State University, and held on campus at the Kellogg Hotel and Conference Center.

Both undergraduate and graduate students are invited to propose research papers or posters related to Interdisciplinary Public Problems, the Global Community, and Diversity, or other related topics.

2014-AIS-Supporting-Member-logo-150x104The mission of Alpha Iota Sigma is to recognize the academic scholarship and achievements of interdisciplinary students.  As an international honor society, Alpha Iota Sigma promotes the benefits of interdisciplinary work; provides a forum to encourage interdisciplinary collaboration among students, faculty, and local community members; investigates and encourages methods of interdisciplinary learning; enhances understanding and application of interdisciplinary knowledge among the general public; creates a sense of community among interdisciplinary students and graduates of interdisciplinary programs.

Awards will be granted for winning submissions: $100 for the first place paper and $50 for the first place poster.

Proposal Submission Instructions

In a Word document, include the title of the paper or poster, authors name, email address, and a 150-250 word abstract detailing your paper/poster.

Deadline for proposal submission is July 31st, 2014.

If accepted, papers will be due by September 15th, 2014.
