Mentoring in Medicine has an outstanding track record of helping students, particularly students from populations that are severely underrepresented in medicine and the health professions, as they prepare to enter the health professions including the medical school application process.
Mentoring In Medicine, Inc. is a 501c3 nonprofit organization. Our mission is to help turn dreamers into health professionals! Our goal is to create competitive applicants to and graduates from health professional school.
Our conference is quickly approaching on Saturday, April 27, 2013 in NYC. Please spread the word! Register today at www.mimny7.eventbrite.com
FACT: There are 78 MIM students in medical school, 6 in PA school, 3 in nursing school, 3 working on an MPH and 1 in pharmacy school.
FACT: For the entering class of 2011, 29 MIM students applied to medical school, 24 were accepted directly and 3 to a medical school sponsored-post-baccalaureate program. Of the 24 accepted, 10 were males!
FACT: ALL of our students were told by someone else that they could not, should not and would never succeed in achieving their dream of becoming a health care professional!
This year’s conference will feature Hands-on Workshops, an Ask the Expert Fair, a Research Competition, a Health Fair, and an opportunity for over 1,500 students to network with health care professionals. We extend this invitation to you and your students (elementary school through health professional school), parents and educators. Register today at www.mimny7.eventbrite.com
