John Krinsky has been a professor of political science at City College since 2002. He holds a B.A. in Religion from Swarthmore College, an M.A. in Urban Planning, and a Ph.D. in Sociology from Columbia University. His teaching and research specializations include public policy, political contention, and welfare politics. His most recent book is Free Labor: Workfare and the Contested Language of Neoliberalism. He is a very active and sought-after mentor in the City College Fellowship and Mellon Mays Fellowship programs, as well.
