Kenneth Sherrill is Professor of Political Science at Hunter College where he served as department chair for nine years. He is also a member of the doctoral faculty in Political Science at the CUNY Graduate Center. His books include Power, Policy, and Participation and Gays and the Military; the latter won Honorable Mention for the Gustavus Magnus Prize for a Distinguished Book on Human Rights in the North Americas. He is the author of numerous political science journal articles, as well as many chapters in books published by several ivy league presses. He has been an invited lecturer at universities around the country, as well as an expert witness in many civil rights cases, including Romer v Evans.
