Dr. David B. Smith is the Chair of the Entertainment Technology Department at NYC College of Technology, where he is a Full Professor specializing in sound and music technology. He is recognized as one of the world leaders in the development of live performance computer instrument systems and is presently a CUNY Baccalaureate mentor for Dwayne Small’s second area of concentration in “Music Production and Audio Engineering.”
Dr. Smith has written: “I have participated as a CUNY BA Mentor in the past and find it to be very rewarding.”
His latest accomplishments are:
A plenary speaker at the City Tech Research Conference on March 30, 2012.
He is Sound Designer for the upcoming production of Thunder Knocking at the Door at Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park (http://www.cincyplay.com/shows/Details.aspx?performanceNumber=11174)
And, he will be presenting at the National Association for Teachers of Singing (NATS) National Conference in Orlando Florida, in June, 2012.
