NOTE: Although this is listed as a Summer Internship, students interested in this for the Spring should apply immediately as Spring may be an option, too.
The Economist Group has partnered with The City University of New York to launch the first-ever internship program at The Economist (North America). Marketing internships will be open to highly qualified CUNY students who will be rewarded with an in-depth opportunity to learn about journalism and the business of magazine publishing; academic credit and an hourly salary. Internships will last six to eight weeks and require a 25 to 35 hour a week commitment.
REQUIREMENTS FOR MARKETING INTERNSHIPS
-Minimum Grade Point Average of 3.2
-Major in Marketing or related area.
-Writing samples.
-Proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office applications (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and additional Internet and business software.
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
-Experience working effectively in teams and the ability to work independently.
-Multi-tasking abilities.
