Kim J. Hartswick was an Associate Professor of Art History and Archaeology at the George Washington University for 22 years before taking on the duties of Academic Director of the CUNY Baccalaureate in Unique and Interdisciplinary Studies in Summer 2006.

He oversees the student academic program (including the final approvals of all areas of concentrations) as well as a staff of eleven full-time and one part-time employees. He is the liaison to The Graduate Center administration and the Faculty University Committee for this unique and interdisciplinary degree program.
